Pisac, A Unique Inca Neighborhood

This day will begin with a delicious breakfast at your hotel (breakfast provided by your hotel). At a certain time, our guide with our transportation will pick you up from your hotel to take you to the village of Pisac. The tour lasts 1 hour, but first, we will stop at “Manos de la Comunidad”, an Andean textile center where you can also interact with cute Andean camelids. This center is located just 20 minutes from Pisac.

In “Manos de la Comunidad”, we will be able to observe the different types of Andean camelids, among which are the llama and the alpaca, we will know the types of fabrics that are extracted from them and we will appreciate the different clothes that the Andean women produce with these wools. And we will even be able to interact with these cute little animals by feeding them.

Afterward, we will board our transportation to continue our trip to Pisac. Once we arrive in the village, we will get ready to start the hike to the archaeological park of Pisac, which is located along a hill of the same name. Pisac was an elite Inca quarter that still preserves most of its buildings, including its Inca cemetery.

The hike to Pisac is a truly amazing experience that offers spectacular views. You will follow an original Inca trail that will take you to the religious sector of Pisac, following the path along the mountain. The trail winds through the adjacent mountains, guiding you through narrow paths and steep slopes, even passing through an Inca tunnel, providing you with a captivating adventure.

Then, we will descend to the village, to visit the Pisac market which is a must-see for anyone traveling to the Sacred Valley from Cusco.  This vibrant and lively market is a celebration for the senses, with an explosion of colors, aromas, and melodies that will fascinate you. Here, you can appreciate a varied range of handcrafted textiles, jewelry, ceramics, and other handicrafts, all made by local artisans using traditional techniques passed down from one generation to the next.

At the end, we will board our transportation to the city of Cusco, where we will be dropped off at our hotel, ending a unique experience in this beautiful Inca neighborhood. Inca.
