Discover the Inca and colonial period of a millenary city, Cusco, the great empire capital of the Incas. After a pleasant breakfast at your hotel, your private guide will pick you up to take you to your private transportation, and together we will head to the South Valley of Cusco. Our first stop will be the archaeological complex of Tipon. This Inca site is famous for its terraces and irrigation systems; very advanced water technology in Inca times. Here, your guide will explain the importance of water and land for the Incas.

Afterwards, we will take our private transportation back to the pre-Inca city of Pikillacta. This city was built by a pre-Inca culture that occupied the South Valley, the Wari culture. Together with your guide you will walk through its beautiful squares and streets, while he tells you legends and stories about this fascinating city.

After this fascinating visit, we will board our private transportation again. This time heading to the town of Andahuaylillas and its beautiful church. Together with your guide you will explore the church of Andahuaylillas, better known as the “Sistine Chapel of America”, due to its impressive baroque decoration, with pictures and paintings belonging to the renowned local artistic style: “Escuela Cusqueña”.
