Mountain 7 Colors, A Rainbow At Your Feet

Seeing a mountain rainbow close to the sky involves a small sacrifice: getting up early. We will pick you up from your hotel between 04:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Make sure you are ready with your backpack, hiking shoes, comfortable pants, a warm jacket, and a windbreaker. The trip by car lasts 3 hours.

During the drive up the mountain, you will stop at a local restaurant for breakfast. Try a delicious typical breakfast with options such as omelets, bread, coffee, and juice. After, you’ll take again your transportation heading to the starting point. You will then arrive at the starting point of the hike, which is located near the village of Pampachiri. Here you will receive information about the route and recommendations for the trek.

Following, you will start the hike of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Enjoy the Andean scenery and the local fauna while you climb hills on your way to the 7 Colors mountain. If you prefer, you can opt for a horse (for an additional cost).

After an unforgettable hike, you will reach the top of a hill located just in front of the 7 Colors mountain. Here, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the mountain. Take time to take pictures with the rainbow mountain in the background and enjoy the unique scenery. Be sure to bring water and something light to eat. At this point, at 5,036 meters above sea level, there is a lot of cold wind, so we recommend you put on your windbreaker.

After a while, you will start the descent towards the starting point, enjoying the view in the opposite direction. When we arrive at the starting point where we leave our transportation, we will board the same heading to an exclusive restaurant to enjoy an exquisite lunch. There, you will be able to taste typical dishes.

After a pleasant meal and a well-deserved rest, you will begin your return trip to Cusco. During the ride, you will be able to relax and enjoy the views of the Andean landscape.

After 3 hours, you will arrive at the city of Cusco in the afternoon. The transportation will drop you off at your hotel or very close to it, so you can rest after a day full of adventure.
