Classic City Tour

Live the legend, travel back in time and marvel at the beautiful Inca architecture this day. After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, our guide and transportation will pick you up from your hotel to embark on your adventure. First, explore one of the oldest churches in the American continent and admire its beautiful Renaissance architecture, as well as its religious paintings with Andean influences, also called paintings of the Cusquenian School. We are talking about the Cathedral Basilica of Cusco.

Then, we will visit the colonial convent of Santo Domingo, a building built over the ancient Inca temple dedicated to the Sun, called Qoricancha. Here you will appreciate the perfect fusion of Spanish and Inca architecture, along with beautiful colonial paintings.

Finally, we will visit the archaeological park of Sacsayhuaman. This is an Inca fortress made with lithic blocks of large dimensions, with a lightning-shaped distribution. In the park you can also explore the Inca offering and sacrifice center of Qenqo, as well as the Inca ruler’s retreat area of Tambomachay.

After this wonderful tour of Cusco’s Inca and colonial past, your guide and transportation will take you back to your hotel. Here you will enjoy an exquisite dinner (on your own), enjoy a swim, rest and regain energy for the day ahead.
